What will the apprentice be doing?

Its an exciting time within the Telecoms industry with some of the biggest changes in its history with how communications are provisioned. This creates a wealth of opportunity.

  • Contact existing and new possible customers to advise of the pending changes with the industry that will affect their communications.
  • To help assist with giving the best advice on solutions for them, to qualify opportunities and pass onto a senior account manager where applicable.
  • To assist with sales administration tasks.

Full training will be provided.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

IT Technical Salesperson Apprenticeship Level 3

Each apprentice will be allocated a Coach to support ongoing learning and preparation for EPA. In addition, Progress Reviews will take place regularly to ensure the apprentice is on track.

The EPA consists of four assessment methods:
1. Summative Portfolio
2. Synoptic Project
3. Employer Reference
4. Interview

The EPA will be conducted by an Independent External Assessment Organisation (IEAO).

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

This role would naturally evolve into either a Sales Account Manager role, or Sales Engineer or Solutions Engineer.

Things to consider

Training will be provided. This is most often completed and carried out on site in Mainstream’s offices. There however may be times when training may take place at off site locations.
