What will the apprentice be doing?
- The Technical Apprentice for our Quality Control Department will be both office based and shop floor integrated.
- You will be trained in all aspects of quality control in a busy manufacturing environment.
- This will include the checking of precision-made parts.
- Identifying and solving manufacturing problems.
- Putting forward solutions and improvement plans
- Liaising with subcontractors regarding quality issues.
- You will also learn many aspects of inspection in our clean, well equipped metrology lab.

Engineering Technician - Technical Support Technician Apprenticeship Standard
Year 1 - 1 Day a week at Appris Training Centre, Bradford: BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Foundation Competence - Mechanical)
Year 2 & 3 - 1 Day a week at Appris Training Centre, Bradford: BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge - Mechanical)
Year 2 to Year 4 - Workplace qualification: EAL Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering - Technical Support Technician (Quality).
Internal training, development and mentoring with highly skilled engineers in a variety of project and support based areas and other engineering related duties and requirements.
In your 4th Year, you will continue to work towards your occupational competency in engineering and prepare for independent end-point assessments.

Successful apprentices can look forward to a full-time position with the business along with continued specialised training and further education where applicable.
