What will the apprentice be doing?
DD Cooling Ltd is fast growing refrigeration engineering company based in Longridge, Preston. We have an excellent opportunity for right individual to join the Office Team at our Longridge site, whilst working towards a Business Administrator level 3 Apprenticeship
Your responsibilities will include:
• Reporting to the Management Team and liaising with Admin Support & engineering team to ensure accuracy and completeness of work requirements
• Helping colleagues with their workload, so that deadlines are met.
• Operating and updating our Service Management Package to effectively capture and report accurate data, keeping records up to date.
• Answering queries and escalate to relevant area of the company if required
• Providing office support including customer and employee support
• Keeping well-organised files and records of business activity
• Interacting with clients either on the phone or in person
• Answering phones and connecting calls to the proper department
• Following up on business communications, billing, and ordering
• Communicating with suppliers & customers
• Invoicing and processing purchase orders
• Learning about the available products/services
• Emailing sales invoices
• Preparing documents by printing, copying, and binding
• Collecting and sorting post
• Scheduling appointments and events
• Ordering office stationery and other supplies
• Being ready for any other administrative tasks that are required
The above is not an exhaustive list and although initially your tasks will be basic, as you learn we are keen that you experience plenty of variety.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Training to Be Provided:
You will be working towards the following qualification/standard:
Business Administrator – Level 3
This includes:
· Main Learning Objectives – Support a business administrator’s role in the workplace, principles of business administration, managing performance, communication in a business environment, project management, ICT for business.
· Functional Skills (if required)
· EPA (End Point Assessment) – Towards the final few months of the apprenticeship you will complete your End Point Assessment. This includes a knowledge test, portfolio-based interview and a project/improvement presentation. All assessment methods will be conducted and graded by an independent EPAO.
This Apprenticeship is completed within the workplace. You will be assessed through written work and observation throughout your training. You will be given time by your employer to complete portfolio work, attend training, workplace shadowing and any other opportunities to develop your skills and knowledge.
