What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Monitoring and forecasting project costs.
  • Gaining an understanding of core financial management such as cash flow and budgeting.
  • Monitoring subcontractors and suppliers to ensure they have met our requirements before releasing payment.
  • Assisting the commercial team with administration tasks including applications and contracts.
  • Providing forecasts and reports.
  • Assisting the team in tendering for new projects.
  • Completing valuations for our projects to issue and agree with our clients.
  • Any other surveying tasks that may arise delivering the works.


What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Level 4 Apprenticeship Standard - Construction Quantity Surveying Technician:

  • Level 4 Construction Quality Surveying Technician - Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
  • Edexcel Level 4 HNC in Construction (Surveying)
  • Edexcel Level 2 Functional Skills English – (exemptions apply)
  • Edexcel Level 2 Functional Skills Mathematics – (exemption apply)

The successful candidate will also need to complete a diagnostic assessment, which will help us plan the appropriate support required to meet your individual needs.

1 day per week release for training at Taunton Campus.
