What will the apprentice be doing?
- Monitoring and forecasting project costs.
- Gaining an understanding of core financial management such as cash flow and budgeting.
- Monitoring subcontractors and suppliers to ensure they have met our requirements before releasing payment.
- Assisting the commercial team with administration tasks including applications and contracts.
- Providing forecasts and reports.
- Assisting the team in tendering for new projects.
- Completing valuations for our projects to issue and agree with our clients.
- Any other surveying tasks that may arise delivering the works.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Level 4 Apprenticeship Standard - Construction Quantity Surveying Technician:
- Level 4 Construction Quality Surveying Technician - Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
- Edexcel Level 4 HNC in Construction (Surveying)
- Edexcel Level 2 Functional Skills English – (exemptions apply)
- Edexcel Level 2 Functional Skills Mathematics – (exemption apply)
The successful candidate will also need to complete a diagnostic assessment, which will help us plan the appropriate support required to meet your individual needs.
1 day per week release for training at Taunton Campus.
