What will the apprentice be doing?

You will support the Head of Marketing.

Starting with process-based tasks and growing to include more advanced tasks and responsibilities, your responsibilities will include:

  • Administration for events
  • Communicating information between departments
  • Email marketing systems
  • Website updates (using WordPress)
  • Database management

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Standard: Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship

  • Work-based training with your employer.
  • 10 days at college for the Business Professionals course - 1 day/week, either at Abingdon or Witney campus.
  • Approximately 12 on-site assessment visits per year.
  • L2 Functional Skills in Maths and English, if required (7 days at college for each).

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Long term career options include Marketing, Administration, Event Management, Design/Website Management or Personal Assistant roles depending on your experiences and preferences.

Things to consider

The successful applicant must be able to travel by their own arrangements to Abingdon & Witney College for 10 days classroom training (dates to be confirmed). Candidates will be required to complete literacy and numeracy tests, a residency check and an interview with Abingdon & Witney College prior to being accepted onto the apprenticeship.
