What will the apprentice be doing?

You will work as an embroidery machine operator, working on our machines that create design at 1000 stiches per minute in order to produce high quality embroidered garments for our customers.

Duties include:

  • Handling garments
  • Marking paperwork and following quality processes
  • Packing customer wardrobes to wearer details
  • Preparing items for despatch to all of our B2B and B2C customers throughout the UK.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

An apprenticeship allows you to earn a wage, gain valuable work experience and industry specific competence. You will be expected to work towards the EAL Level 2 Diploma in Manufacturing Apprenticeship Standard, with support from your employer and the Chesterfield College Group.

As part of your apprenticeship, and dependent on your prior attainment, you may be required to complete maths and English Functional Skills which is an integral part of your apprenticeship. Upon successful completion you will be awarded additional certificates of recognition for these qualifications.

About the employer

We are an embroidery company based in Chesterfield, we supply uniforms to all parts of the UK in the niche market place of Passenger Transport. We celebrated our 21st Anniversary earlier this year and have seen a massive growth over the last few years (apart from Covid period). We originated in Buxton and after purchase of two like business's we moved to Chesterfield into our premises in 2008.
