What will the apprentice be doing?
To support and contribute to the company's mission statement -'To create active places and healthy people'
To ensure the comfort and safety of all users of the Centre.
To maintain vigilant supervision of pool users and ensure their safety at all times.
To administer first aid, effect pool rescues and apply resuscitation as necessary.
To comply with the Centre's Health and Safety procedures at all times,
To deal with customers in a friendly and professional manner, delivering outstanding service.
To report any matter of concern to the Duty Manager immediately.
To carry out cleaning duties as necessary.
To wear the prescribed staff uniform at all times.
To carry out patrols of the Centre.
To prepare activity areas involving the setting up/dismantling of equipment.
To ensure that all Centre equipment is stored safely and securely when not in use.
To report any maintenance issues using the appropriate procedures.
To assist the Duty Manager with any tasks involved in the operation of the Centre.
To maintain any suggested training requirements.

If you want to earn money whilst working in a fun, lively environment with a team of people like you, then this exciting new job could be for you. Working with passionate and driven people, you will be responsible for the supervision of our customers whilst using our swimming and pool facilities. You will also be tasked with keeping all areas clean and hygienic at all times whilst maintaining high standards of cleanliness whilst carrying out daily pool checks.

More about you
In an ideal world, you will have a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) and/or a first-aid certificate however we are willing to train you in both these qualifications. As you will be working poolside you must be a competent swimmer and be safety conscious.
