What will the apprentice be doing?
1) To fulfil the requirements of the The Federation of Sibertswold CEP and Eythorne Elvington CP Teaching Assistant’s Standards:
- Organisation and General Requirements
- In Class Support
- Playground
2) To attend meetings, as directed, for teaching assistants to discuss issues relating to the smooth running of the school, and the action required to meet our vision.
3) To be aware of and be able to use resources available to support learning
4) To attend any course or online training to develop knowledge, skills and attributes to make a contribution in meeting the targets in the school improvement plan.
5) Keep a record of personal development (CPD)
6) To participate in the our appraisal system.
7) To engage in the induction process for new pupils to ensure they feel welcome and valued
8) To engage in the induction process for new members of staff to ensure they feel welcome and valued.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
The apprenticeship training will take place in house while you are at the workplace. We book once a month training sessions with your allocated tutor. This will be on a platform called Smart Assessmor. Here your tutor will go through the modules and units of your course.
We also have 6-8 weeks monthly review plans, this will be with yourself, line manager and tutor.
The training you will be undertaking is Teaching Assistant Level 3.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
We are looking for someone who would like to gain expereince and if you have been a super star throughout the apprenticeship course, then we will be looking at long term employment.
