What will the apprentice be doing?
- The apprentice will be primarily learning to become a CNC machinist using the FANUC control language on our 3-axis CNC milling centres.
- Additionally, they will learn general engineering skills.
- Including measurement of materials and quality.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Level 3 Engineering Technician Standard.
Functional Skills in maths and English if required.
Development of knowledge, skills & behaviours required to complete the Engineering Technician Standard.
Diploma in engineering operations (skills)
Certificate or Diploma in engineering operations (knowledge)
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
To become a fully qualified CNC Machinist and active member of the
production department.
