What will the apprentice be doing?

The position will include:

  •  General yard duties i.e Mucking out, turning out/in.
  • Assisting with a variety of competitions i.e British Dressage, British Show jumping.
  • Assisting with a variety of clinics with a range of top class visiting instructors.
  • Assisting with vet, farrier, dentists and physio.
  • Preparing horses for competitions.
  • Travelling to competitions.
  • Care of horses after exercise.
  • Customer Care.
  • Working with the public.

This apprenticeship is fully workplace based .

Holmside Hall Equestrian is an established BHS approved family business that aims to provide the highest level of customer service to each individual horse and rider. We also stage affiliated competitions for British Dressage and BS as well as unaffiliated competitions most weekends for dressage, show jumping, show X or showing in hand or ridden. We also provide training and education towards BHS qualifications. We are a busy yard with a committed hard working team.
