What will the apprentice be doing?
In addition to studying toward and achieving the Chartered Insurance Institute’s Certificate in Insurance, the successful candidate will be required to assist in providing a comprehensive insurance service to existing and potential new customers.
Working within our friendly and expanding team, the successful applicant’s main duties and responsibilities will include:
- Helping the team to service, retain and grow a varied portfolio of personal insurance clients, dealing mainly with home, motor, travel and landlord's policies
- Maintaining appropriate, regular contact with existing customers to ensure their insurance requirements continue to be met.
- Speaking to clients to discuss their policies, take payments, answer any questions they have and assist them should they need to make amendments to their cover or need to make a claim
- As the apprenticeship programme progresses you will also have the opportunity to learn about commercial classes of insurance.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Apprentices will complete the Insurance Practitioner Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard that includes the Cert CII
- Develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours of successful Insurance Practitioners.

- Free CII membership for non-members through the CII Aspire Apprenticeship Programme
- Includes the CII study books and exam entries
- Resit costs for CII exams and End-Point-Assessment will be covered by the employer

- Exam tips, tricks, and strategies
- Regular tutorials and assessments with your dedicated trainer
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Insurance broking is a rewarding and varied career. Upon successful completion of your apprenticeship programme with Cass-Stephens it is hoped that you will continue to work with us as an account handler, dealing with either personal or commercial clients, with the opportunity to continue your studies towards obtaining the status of Chartered Insurance Broker.
