What will the apprentice be doing?
An Apprentice Business Support Officer is required to join our busy special school office, to provide front line customer service and administrative support. The successful candidate will be working within the office team and supporting the school to provide routine clerical, administrative, word processing and financial support to the school.
The apprentice will work with direction to provide general clerical, administrative support and financial administration. Maintaining and updating manual and computerised records including, in maintaining office supplies. Undertake reception duties including answering telephone and responding to routine queries.Liaison with staff, parents and outside agencies. Work within school policies and procedures, to support the provision of an effective learning environment.As part of this role the successful candidate will be expected to work towards and complete the apprenticeship standard, Business Administrator Level 3. The apprentice will be supported with induction and internal on–the–job training in their role. The successful candidate will also be required to complete functional skills initial assessments in Maths, English.
Maths, English functional skills must be completed as part of the apprenticeship, if prior achievement at GCSE C/4.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
