What will the apprentice be doing?
Working and supporting the department with:
- Accounts preparation work
- VAT preparation and submission
- All aspects of the Purchase ledger
- All aspects of the Sales ledger
- All aspects maintaining the cashbooks and banking
- Using various software packages
- Working as part of a team to ensure the smooth running of the office
- Administration and office support, to include answering the telephone and greeting clients
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
This is an Advanced Apprenticeship in Accounting and will include a combination of on and off the job training in the workplace. You will have monthly mentoring and guidance at work from a Craven College Learning & Development Advisor alongside college attendance one day a week during term time at the College in Skipton. At the end of the apprenticeship you will be entered to undertake an End Point Assessment, conducted by an external assessor, to complete your Apprenticeship.
There is an option to sit Level 3 AAT exams as part of the Apprenticeship

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
On completion of the apprenticeship, the apprentice will have permanent employment.
