What will the apprentice be doing?

Primarily, the role will involve acting as a first point of contact for student enquiries at the student reception desk, ensuring stock is replenished and maintained in student services, maintaining relevant management information systems and general administrative duties.

Other duties may include: switchboard operation, dealing with telephone enquiries to the school, liaising with staff, students and members of the public, supporting reprographics and opening & distributing post. 

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

The successful candidate will undertake a Level 3 Apprenticeship in Business Administration with training being provided on site (Rainhill High School), flexibly, around working commitments for approximately 6 x hours per week.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

A full-time position may be available after the apprenticeship has been completed, should the candidate be successful in their role and gain their apprenticeship accreditation.

This apprenticeship, upon completion, would allow the successful candidate to access a wide variety of administration and business-related roles across the private and public sectors.
