What will the apprentice be doing?
To assist as part of the Home’s hospitality team in providing nourishing meals and refreshments to our residents working under the direction of the Facilities Manager/senior staff on duty
To maintain dignity in care
Duties include
Assisting with trolley service of drinks and snacks during the day
Assisting with preparing light snacks, salads
Heating and servicing precooked meals
Serving meals including preparing the dining room and setting tables, room service
Clearing and cleaning after food service
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Training will take place with our brilliant housekeeping team and they will support you to achieve your mandatory training (including food hygiene; food and nutrition; infection prevention and control) and a Level 2 Apprenticeship with Beaufort Hall Nursing Home as a Hospitality Team Member.
All the training for the Hospitality Team Member Level 2 will take place offsite with no college delivery.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Will lead to full time employment and the possibility of progressing within the Ancillary/ Support team.
