What will the apprentice be doing?
- Provide support where necessary to all users
- Learn about the different projects and where the IT infrastructure would sit
- Learn to diagnose ICT Problems
- Learn about the appropriate security policies in respect of ICT related tasks
- Learn to communicate and understand priority users
- Learn to apply appropriate testing methodologies to hardware and software
- Learn to understand and support national users
- Attend project planning meetings
- Attend local offices and confidently be able to support and advise with ICT issues
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- Information communications technician level 3 standard
- Training from mentors and senior staff
- One day per week day release at Telford College
- Assessor support
