What will the apprentice be doing?

This is a great opportunity to work within a small local business, to work towards a Level 4 AAT (Accountancy) qualification.

The duties would include:

Bookkeeping
Accounts preparation
Preparation of tax returns
General office administration
This list is not exhaustive, and you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by the manager, which is relevant to your role within the company, to meet the overall business needs.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Level 4  Professional accounting or tax technician apprenticeship standard, which includes:

Level 4 AAT Diploma in Professional accounting or tax technician
Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
End-Point Assessment (EPA). Competence in all Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours requirements of the Standard via their Portfolio
including Reflective Statement; and role simulation.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
