Mechanical Engineering Apprentice GRUNDFOS PUMPS LIMITED

The Apprentice will work and learn across the whole business in Production, Quality, Technical, Stores, Purchasing and Sales during their training. Training will be provided and supported by experienced employees who will ensure success in each department. The role will include day release to College for the Mechanical Engineers Apprenticeship.

What will the apprentice be doing?

Mechanical Engineering Training:

Attend college to develop mechanical engineering knowledge related to the Grundfos business, completing college assignments to the best of your ability. Asking for support and knowledge from colleagues and management.


Production Line:

Work on the production lines to fully understand the assembly requirements of our Grundfos products. As required produce sub-assembly components / non-production line items.


Production Support:

Involvement with Health, Safety and Well-being, support with events across the business, maintenance activities and pump return investigations.


Specialist department secondment (Quality, Technical, Purchasing, Stores and Sales):

Every three months you will rotate around the departments to understand that section of the business. This will involve working alongside colleagues and undertaking projects related to their function.

Level 3 Engineering Fitter Apprenticeship Standard, which includes:

BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Engineering.
