Your role will involve supporting the end-to-end delivery of internal and external AV installations at customer sites. Including configuring hardware, cabling installations/ termination, mounting and maintaining equipment as well as some software setup.

What will the apprentice be doing?

Duties may include:

  • Supporting the end-to-end installation of AV & POS solutions, both indoors and outdoors
  • Aid in the Installation of data networks
  • Help with Installation of cable management and all associated infrastructure i.e. comms cabinet, PDU, shelving with  patching
  • Diagnosis of faults and the subsequent repair of hardware & software
  • Completion of internal working processes and procedures e.g. Time recording and job sheet management - recording  the description of works completed and time
  • Involvement in manual/groundwork as and when required
  • Ensure adherence to Health and Safety Policy 

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

You will work towards a Level 3 Network Cable Installer Apprenticeship delivered by VQ Solutions. 

During this apprenticeship, you will develop a portfolio, attend block courses and have regular reviews. All apprenticeship work will be completed during working hours.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

The majority of our apprentices are offered full-time employment upon the successful completion of their apprenticeships.
