What will the apprentice be doing?

Daily duties may include but are not limited to:

- To ensure the safety and security of the children in the setting

- Promote learning and enjoyment through planned play experiences in line with the EYFS

- To carry out daily observations on the children using a variety of methods

- To have an understanding of the key person role and safeguarding and welfare requirements

- Support children's physical needs through effective care routines

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Early Years Practitioner Apprenticeship Level 3 Standard

Training will take place off the job.

This will be in the form of shadowing experienced colleagues and the successful candidate will be required to complete online assignments and to take place in live, interactive webinars.

The apprentice will receive the  full support of a Total People Learning Coach.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

To gain a recognised level 3 qualification and secure employment. This could lead to further development roles within the early years sector.

Things to consider

Applicants must have good knowledge of child development, safeguarding, health and safety and the Early Years Framework. A L2 Qualification in Early Years would be preferable. Please consider the location of the setting and the business opening hours.

About the employer

We offer a very friendly home from home nursery within a secure environment; all staff fully qualified, CRB checked and cleared. Nursery meals provided for full day care for 6 weeks old to 5 years old, with sessional catering for 2 year old 4 year olds. We accept nursery education funded grants. Breakfast club for children aged 3-11 years old from 8am-9am. After school club 3.30pm-6pm Monday-Friday. We also run holiday clubs for 3-11 year olds.
