This role with provide you with the relevant skills and experience for a career as an Project Designer. You will be using computer aided design software to produce detailed surveying drawings, both in 2D and 3D software. This is an office based role, and will involve communicating with customers, clients and other staff via email and telephone.

What will the apprentice be doing?
Day to day tasks will include:
- Preparing detailed designs for projects using 2D and 3D CAD
- Communicating designs to the design team and customers
- Preparing simple commercial schedules and reports
- Preparing initial design briefs, using a digital workflow
- Assessing and reporting on quality standards of the projects via the digital environment
- Plan and carry out surveys
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
The following qualifications will be gained:
- English and Maths will be required to be demonstrated at Level 2;
- BTEC Level 3 Construction and the Built Environment or Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Diploma in Construction and the Built Environment
- NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Built Environment Design.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Once you have completed your apprenticeship, you will have the chance to work as a qualified CAD Technician, which in turn can lead on to senior level roles within the organisation, or open opportunities for progression outside of the business.
