What will the apprentice be doing?

Early Years Educator apprentices learn how to:

  • Support and promote children’s early education and development
  • Plan and provide effective care, teaching and learning that enables children to progress and prepares them for school
  • Make accurate and productive use of assessment and reports
  • Develop effective and informed practice
  • Safeguard and promote the health, safety and welfare of children
  • Work in partnership with colleagues, parents and/or carers or other professionals

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

The Apprentice will gain an Early years Level 3 Qualification after successful completion of his/her course and a wealth of experience with highly qualified team members.  Apprentices must successfully complete a first aid qualification. Apprentices without Level 2 English and maths will need to achieve this level prior to taking their end point assessment.

The Level 3 Early Years Educator (EYE) Apprenticeship is ideal for someone looking to pursue a career as an Early Years Educator/Teacher, Nursery Nurse, Supervisor, or Child Minder. This can then lead to management positions with further training
