What will the apprentice be doing?

As an apprentice Nursery Assistant you will be working as part of the team, with children from 3 months to 5 years old. You will gain
experience in all aspects of nursery Care under the supervision and guidance of the Nursery Manager and Room Leaders.
All staff are expected to be flexible and help where needed. This will mean undertaking some domestic duties such as cleaning and food
preparation as part of providing quality child care.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • Early Years Educator Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard.
  • online group training sessions will be organised in addition to regular 1:1 tutor meetings.
  • Functional skills will be studied in Maths and English if exemptions are not held. 
  • First Aid.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Upon completion of the apprenticeship there may be the opportunity for a permanent position.
