What will the apprentice be doing?

The role will be to learn all aspects of our kitchen. Starting from kitchen assistant and learning all stations and recipes. From handmade pizzas using our homemade dough to cooking steaks to order as well as homemade recipes for such items as pulled pork, chillies and curries.

With the right attitude and work ethic a secure, well paid permanent positon will be the reward at the end of the apprenticeship. After which we look forward to onward training to progress you further still.

Daily duties may include:

  • To assist in the prompt preparation, cooking and service of all menu items
  • To work closely and in co-operation with all other members of the Catering Team to ensure a safe and happy working environment
  • To ensure all ingredients provided are used correctly, with minimal wastage during preparation
  • To maintain the set standards of hygiene and safety and ensure the Executive Chef is made aware of any action necessary to ensure regulations are adhered to

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

In house training in the kitchen and to be released for the college day.

Upon completion of your apprenticeship, you will receive a level 2 Production Chef Diploma.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

The potential for a full-time job on completion of your apprenticeship as well as future promotions.
