What will the apprentice be doing?
Personal care; Person centred approach
Promoting and ensuring privacy and dignity
Escort residents to daily activities
Support residents with cooking, cleaning and other house duties
Develop effective teamwork with staff group, and attending and taking an active part in team meetings.
Implementing Cambuslodges’ Policies and Procedures relating to standards of care and carry out those procedures competently e.g. accident, fire, medication.
To develop a good professional relationship with families, friends and the local community.
Maintain Care Procedures and all relevant Health and Safety Legislation.
Taking responsibility for implementing and supervising good care practices to include, Care Plans and reviews.
Take responsibility of Keyworker role and relevant procedures.
To maintain essential documentation and provide factual reports.

- Level 2 Adult Care Worker Apprenticeship standard
Level 1 & 2 Functional Skills English and Maths
You will have monthly meetings with your Trainer via video call, during working hours. Your employer will also allow you time, during working hours, to work towards your apprenticeship
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Possibility of full-time employment with organisation at the end of the apprenticeship
