What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Seeking a talented, passionate, self-driven & curious person. Ideally, a good relationship builder, and problem solver & is not afraid to seek assistance from their colleagues when necessary.
  • Our Radiology business includes several functions, both in the UK and Maastricht, including local sales, inside sales, customer support, technical support, and clinical.
  • This role would involve working with all these functions to assist in the successful continuation and growth of the Radiology business.
  • As this is a field role applicants are required to have 1-year full clean driving licence.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Qualifications included:

  • Level 3 Healthcare Engineer Specialist Technician Apprenticeship Standard.
  • Company Training Plan.
  • Level 3 Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME) at College (Knowledge).
  • Level 3 NVQ Diploma delivered in the workplace (Skills).
  • Level 2 Functional Skills (if not exempt).
  • End Point Assessment

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

  • Initial responsibilities of this role will be to attain the experience of field service activities & to gain an understanding of working within the NHS and private sector healthcare environments.

Things to consider

This is a field-based role and will require the engineer to attend hospital Radiology departments with trained engineers to carry out maintenance, repair & installation of medical equipment. When working with radiology equipment applicants will need to work to certain guidelines, that includes no metal objects in or on your body.
