What will the apprentice be doing?

The successful candidate will learn and work to support the team with everyday administrative tasks in the following areas.

  • Call handling.
  • Recruitment.
  • Accounting.
  • Payroll.
  • Human Resources. 
  • Service.
  • Quality Management.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and confident individual who would like to learn and develop their skills in everyday working life. The office operates care services and so the successful individual must be caring with a vibrant personality.

In a typical day as a business administrator the apprenticeship will play an extremely important role within the office environment, which will include working with various professionals daily.

Tasks will include:

  • Answering phone calls.
  • Scheduling meetings and supporting visitors.
  • Carry out administrative duties such as filing, typing, copying, binding, scanning etc.
  • Complete operational requirements by scheduling and assigning administrative projects and expediting work results.
  • Assisting the office administrator with accounting, payroll, and HR tasks. 
  • You will learn to use various software packages which the business uses.

Fortnightly college attendance day release will be required at Leicester College Freemans Park Campus throughout the program.
