What will the apprentice be doing?
- Let's cut straight to it:
Want to do the best work of your life? Playing your part in making a big difference to the environment and communities we serve. Our people make Severn Trent a truly exciting and inclusive place to work – a place where you can be yourself and let your skills shine.
We have an amazing opportunity for someone to join our Facilities Management Team through a 12 month apprenticeship programme
- What we're looking for:
Are you looking to start your career or possibly make a career change? Do you enjoy working in a constantly changing environment where no two days are the same? Are you naturally curious about how things work, like to think on your feet and not be stuck behind a desk all day? In this role you will be interacting with a variety of people within the business and genuinely like talking to people. You will be social and the organizer of your life (and maybe sometimes others too!) We are looking for someone who wants to learn, and is willing to roll up their sleeves and jump right in
- Let's tell you more:
You’ll be supported every step of the way, by your line manager and mentor. Working in our Facilities team, you’ll be key to helping us keep our operational sites and depots, safe, clean and operating effectively for all of our colleagues. You’ll get to learn all about effective space management, building infrastructure and maintenance, security as well as managing third party suppliers. You’ll work closely with our health & safety and resilience teams to ensure all our operational sites run smoothly and meet our high standards and develop a broad range of transferable skills within the business
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Within our Facilities team you will complete this Level 2 Facilities Service Operative Apprenticeship, allowing you to develop the skills & experience required to become a Service Delivery Assistant. Your apprenticeship will also enable you to become a member of the Institute for Workplace and Facilities Management
You’ll combine on-the-job learning with formal, nationally recognised development training.
A Personal Development Plan will help drive your career progression, set, agreed & regularly reviewed with your line manager
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
At the end of your training, as long as you pass your end point assessment and have met your performance targets throughout your Apprenticeship, you will be offered an opportunity in a permanent role with us.
At the end of the programme you’ll take up a Service Delivery Assistant role, where you’ll get to make a real difference
- How we'll reward and care for you in return:
It’s not just a job you’ll get here, you’ll get a career too. We have a range of benefits that reward and recognise great work and award-winning training to ensure you reach your potential. And we’ll also help you play your part in looking after the environment and the community in which we live.
