What will the apprentice be doing?

Use online tracking & communicate with suppliers/agents

Process customer bookings

Manage shipments via our systems

Arrange customs documentation for imports & exports

Complete & issue documentation to relevant parties in a timely manner

Upload shipping documentation to online customer portal

Issue Carbon Credit Certificates & Statements

Support management of carbon removal.

Check supplier invoices against quotes/rates structure

Maintain monthly tariffs provided by ocean carriers.

Request rates from suppliers/agents

Create quotes for customers

Submit customs clearance instructions

Customs duty & VAT invoices.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

International Freight Forwarding Level 3 qualification.

On the job training delivered by the employer.

Allocation of an apprenticeship delivery coach who will carry out:

Regular training
Assessment and support visits to ensure you acquire new learning, knowledge skills and behaviours in order to progress and develop.
Identify, track and support 20% off the job training activities
Quarterly formal progress review meetings; identifying learning achievements and next steps.

Things to consider

From 1st April 2022 The NMW rate for apprentices is £4.81 per hour. This applies to 16-18-year-old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. Vacancies are subject to close at any time subject to volume of applications.
