What will the apprentice be doing?

  • The postholder will support the organisation by contributing to the Learn to Dive programme, dry dive activities and school holiday programmes at Inspire Luton Sports Village.
  • Once qualified they will follow agreed lesson plans initially then move onto writing their own.
  • The role will involve health and safety of customers and the provision of equipment.
  • The post holder will also ensure high quality customer care and, with support, will resolve day-to-day problems associated with class organisation, control and operation.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Apprentice will receive the following qualifications:

  • L2 Community Activator Coach Standard
  • L3 Diploma in Sports Coaching
  • L2 Safeguarding

Additional training / qualifications to include:

  • L1 Swim England Assistant Diving Coach with potential to move to L2 Swim England Diving Coach qualification


Training will be online and face-to-face with Luton Adult Learning. Dates and times to be confirmed once on programme.
