What will the apprentice be doing?

Service and repair of refrigeration and a/c equipment.

Maintenance and installation of equipment. 

Fault finding and diagnosis.

Travel to customer sites to carry out duties. 

Assist Service Engineers and train alongside.  

Learn and complete essential records and paperwork.  

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Full apprenticeship training provided, working towards a Level 3 Refrigeration Air Conditioning and Heat Pump Engineering Technician apprenticeship standard.

Training supported by The Growth Company on block release for off the job training at PRTC Burnley.    

On the job training undertaken with experienced Engineers on rotation to gain exposure to different types of work.  

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

You will progress to full Engineer status with the chance to obtain additional qualification and opportunity to progress within the Company in technical roles.

Things to consider

When applicable the roles involves driving so a full licence is required (or will be required to be obtained), the role involves manual handling, working at height, indoor and outdoor work and in time out of hours work (call out rota). May also include working away from home.
