What will the apprentice be doing?
- Assist organising effective/regular maintenance of Company’s plant & machinery
- Assist daily/weekly/regular maintenance & safety checks
- Assist organising & documentation for effective repair of breakdowns
- Ensure that spare parts/maintenance requisites are purchased at optimum cost & from approved suppliers
- Report any threats to the health & safety of employees/potential pollution to the environment
- Develop sound working relationships with all personnel & departments
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
You will be working towards the Engineering Fitter Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard.
Day release will be to West Suffolk College.
Functional Skills in Maths and English will be studied unless exemptions held.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
