What will the apprentice be doing?

Working with the owner of the business and his team you will be involved in all aspects of Light Vehicle servicing and maintenance with no two days the same. As your skills and knowledge increase with the assistance of a highly qualified assessor, who will visit you on a regular basis, you will be given more complex tasks. The company prides its self on quality work, excellent customer service and has gained an enviable reputation through this.

  • You will be working on a variety of different makes and models.
  • You will be required to attend City College on a day release basis to enhance your skill set.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Once completed you will recieve a Autocare Technician Apprentice qualification. You will undertake day release at City College Southampton for 36 months.

You will receive regular visits from a qualified assessor to help develop your skills and knowledge.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Once you have completed your apprenticeship, you will continue to learn and develop your skills to enable you to complete more complex duties/tasks as required.

Things to consider

You must view this position as a career rather than just a job. You must be able to travel to City College Southampton for studies for your apprenticeship. Some previous experience either in work or study is preferable.

We are a well established (1990) small independent garage in Eastleigh offering servicing, repairs and MOTs to all makes of car and light commercials. The team has over 50 years of experience in the repair of motor vehicles and are fully skilled and time served technicians.
