What will the apprentice be doing?

The staff at the salon all work together as a team and help to support one another.

Some of the duties will include:

  • Greeting people at the salon and making refreshments
  • Washing and shampooing clients hair
  • Maintaining the salon and cleaning equipment
  • Arranging appointments over the phone
  • Assisting with opening and closing the salon
  • Assisting the stylists with their day to day duties

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Apprentices will be enrolled at East Surrey College one day per week on the Level 2 Hair Professional Apprenticeship Standard.

Apprentices will receive a level 2 Hair Professional Diploma upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Upon successful completion of this apprenticeship there may be an opportunity for full-time employment.
