What will the apprentice be doing?

Apprentices perform a vital role within Greater Manchester
Police, providing excellent customer service and administrative support to members of the public, colleagues and partners. We are recruiting Business Administration apprentices and would like to attract a wide range of applicants from our diverse communities across Greater Manchester.

Successful applicants will work alongside police officers and staff in a range of specialist policing support teams.

Duties include:

  • Providing administrative support
  • Monitoring group voicemail and email inboxes
  • Dealing with general enquiries - both face-to-face and over the phone
  • Helping to collate and prepare management information

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

The apprenticeship will be for a period of up to 15 months, with the opportunity to apply for internal vacancies within the last 6 months. Many of our apprentices do go on to secure fully substantive roles within the organisation, upon successful completion of their programme.
