CNC Machinist Apprentice (Turning & Milling) EATON MEDC LIMITED

You will learn how to operate, set and program CNC machines across the site’s transformation area. You will learn how to read and understand mechanical engineering drawings along with the use of inspection equipment, gain knowledge of cutting different types of materials such as stainless steel, aluminium, cast iron and glass reinforced plastic.

What will the apprentice be doing?

The role will be to produce good quality machined components to tight tolerances efficiently. Working on small to medium batch quantities. They will report into the tech lead of the area (CCTV machining)

Key responsibilities include:

  • Operating, setting, and programming CNC machines
  • Following TPM and 5S best practises
  • Inspection of their own work to drawing
  • Working to schedule to meet customer demand
