What will the apprentice be doing?
Job description:
• To manage the daily preparation, cooking and service of high-quality food in a timely manner
• To monitor stock movement and be responsible for ordering on your section
• To assist the kitchen team to maintain and improve quality, standards and cleanliness required by Head Chef
• To assist Sous and Head Chef in creating new recipes and menus writing
• To assist with the acceptance and storage of deliveries and make sure that all relevant company procedures are adhered to
• To keep high standards of cleanliness on section where employed, also to assist in any job regarding hygiene or cleanliness asked for by Head Chef
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Level 2 Production Chef apprenticeship standard.
Relevant training will be provided through Lancaster & Morecambe College.
Subject to attending an Apprenticeship Interview with Lancaster & Morecambe College.
Functional Skills may be required if entry requirements not met.
