We are looking to recruit x2 Apprentice chef’s(one for Chorley, one for Horwich)to work alongside our experienced nursery cooks, catering for approx. 100 children per day. We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate candidate who enjoys being around children too.

What will the apprentice be doing?
Duties include but are not limited.
•Maintain excellent standards of personal, food and kitchen hygiene.
•Cooking and Preparing Veg, Meats and Fish
•Assisting with restocks and deliveries
•Ensure compliance to procedures
Produce food meeting portion control and budgetary constraints.
•Adapt and produce dishes to meet special dietary, religious and allergenic requirements.
•Follow, complete, and maintain production schedules, legislation, and quality standard documentation.
•Use specialist kitchen equipment.
•Commit to personal development activities.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Production Chef level 2
Training to be delivered in the work place with some potential intermittent college days.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
