What will the apprentice be doing?
- Expected to cover IT Support to both 1st and 2nd line levels.
- Installing and configuring hardware and software components to ensure maximum performance.
- Troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Repairing or replacing damaged hardware.
- Upgrades to software on all computers.
- Installing and upgrading anti-virus software to ensure security at the user level.
- Performing tests and evaluations of new software and hardware.
- Providing support to users and being the first point of contact for error reporting.
- Establishing good relationships with all departments and colleagues.
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation.
- Helping with IT projects when required.
- Administration within the Office365 portal.
- Supporting company mobile devices.
- Working within company policies and procedures.
- Asset management.

Throughout the apprenticeship learners receive coaching, help and guidance from a dedicated team who are there to ensure they get the most from their work experience.
Successful completion of this apprenticeship gives you an accredited Level 3 Information Communications Technician, with training in how to:
- Efficiently operate and control your ICT infrastructure – physical or virtual hardware, software, network services and data storage.
- Use infrastructure management tools to automate the provisioning, testing, deployment and monitoring of infrastructure components.
- Prioritise systems support tasks and monitor and maintaining system performance.
- Maintain regulatory, legal and professional standards.
- Support the information systems needs for your business.
