Working in a fast paced environment supporting the NHS, the role of Bank Administrator will be to support the team of Bank Coordinators to manage the bank of doctors on behalf of an NHS Trust, to support them through the registration process, and to support then to gather their availability and book them into work.

What will the apprentice be doing?

With support from management and senior members of the team to be completing the following

  • Managing a bank of doctors.
  • Registering new doctors and obtaining the required documents in order for them to work.
  • To ask for any recommendations from workers in order to increase number of new registrations.
  • Understanding you doctors requirements and gathering availability.
  • To add jobs to LMS that are given direct from the departments.
  • To actively match against jobs received from our clients.
  • Offering doctors work via phone, email, text and WhatsApp.
  • Ensuring daily/weekly compliance checks are completed.
  • Ensure appropriate waivers are received where required for your actively working Doctors.
  • Dealing with doctors queries and general administration.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

This is an Advanced Apprenticeship in Business Administration Level 3

It will involve a combination of on and off the job training in the workplace.

You will have monthly mentoring and guidance at work from a Craven College Learning & Development Advisor alongside weekly college attendance in Skipton.

After 18 months you will be entered to undertake an End Point Assessment, to complete your Apprenticeship.  

The End Point Assessment will comprise of a Project, a Knowledge Test, and a Presentation/Interview with the assessor.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Would progress to permanent employment as a Bank Coordinator. There would also be further options company wide and options for career progression
