What will the apprentice be doing?

Daily duties include assisting in all areas of the accounts function:

  • Daily banking
  • Purchase ledger
  • Insurance administration
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Data entry and analysis
  • Ad hoc administration assistance to support the wider team

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Alongside your job duties, you will also study towards the AAT Level 3 qualification on an 18 month study programme, covering various aspects to become a competent accountant. Following this there will be an opportunity for a permanent position and progression to AAT level 4.

Level 3 Assistant Accountant Apprenticeship Standard, which include:

  • Level 2 AAT qualification (if required)
  • Level 3 AAT qualification
  • Functional skills in English, maths, and ICT (if applicable)
  • End-Point Assessment (EPA)
  • Employee Rights and Responsibilities (ERR)
  • Personal Learning and Thinking Skills (PLTS)
  • Progression to level 4 AAT
