What will the apprentice be doing?
Working to support the chefs in the kitchen while being trained to prepare fresh food dishes like Slow Cooked Cotswold Venison Pie or Italian Rich Dark Chocolate Fondant.
Your day will include the following:
- Other support including accepting deliveries and helping the kitchen run smoothly
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- Commis chef apprenticeship standard, delivered in the workplace while supported by a hospitality professional from Stratford College, with the option of progression onto chef de partie (level 3)
- Basic food hygiene
- Health and safety training
- Allergen training
- Functional skills in English and maths level 1 as required
- End point assessment
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Upon completion of your apprenticeship a full time position may be available with the option of progressing onto your level 3 chef de partie.
