What will the apprentice be doing?

We specialise in designing, installing and maintaining security systems; CCTV/Intruder alarms, In-Home networking/.

As well as servicing and maintaining Digital Signalling equipment other duties may include:

  • Electrical and electronic principles - including codes of practice, commissioning, design criteria and installation, testing and maintenance techniques.
  • Installing, testing and maintaining different systems - including a range of security systems.
  • Installation and maintaining digital signalling equipment.
  • Installing to relevant industry standards and codes of practice
  • Commissioning systems
  • Completing commissioning documentation and marking up as fitted drawings
  • Completing demonstrations and handover to end user
  • Communications - including communication styles and communicating in a clear, articulate and appropriate manner.
  • Health and Safety practices, regulations and legislation within security environments including environmental compliance requirements and prospects working at height using fall restraint equipment.
