This is a varied role which will involve some general office duties such as answering the phone, emails, scanning, filing, assisting our branches, maintaining systems but will also involve offering general support to all departments within our busy Head Office. These departments include HR, Health & Safety, Maintenance, and our Locum booking team

What will the apprentice be doing?

• Greeting visitors
• Responsible for incoming post & distributing to other departments
• Receiving &responding to emails in a timely manner
• Scanning, filing & distributing documents
• Assisting the HR team with projects & new starter processes
• Assisting the locum team with the booking of pharmacists for our branches
• Lasing with external suppliers & contractors where necessary
• Assisting with Health & Safety administration
• Any other office duties / office support as required

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

An apprenticeship allows you to earn a wage, gain valuable work experience and industry specific competence.

You will be expected to work towards the Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard, with support from your employer and the Chesterfield College Group.

As part of your apprenticeship, and dependent on your prior attainment, you may be required to complete maths and English Functional Skills which is an integral part of your apprenticeship. Upon successful completion you will be awarded additional certificates of recognition for these qualifications.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

We are looking to continue employment after the apprentice role and there will be opportunities for development within the business depending on how the candidate progresses and what opportunities we have available at the time. However as the role involves supporting all different departments there hopefully will be opportunities for natural progression within one of those teams in the future for the right person.
