What will the apprentice be doing?
Working within a small team working to Aerospace accredited standards.
• Order process (route card) adherence and validation with MRP system
• Goods in control and logging, raw materials and bought in goods/processes
• Packing and shipping goods to order synchronising with MRP system
• Final component finishing process (light hand engineering operation)
• Visual inspection of machined components, verification of drawing revision prior to finishing/dispatch
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Level 2 Lean Manufacturing apprenticeship standard, including Functional Skills if required.
This programme is delivered completely within the place of work.
You will work with expert assessors to develop new knowledge, skills and behaviours within the profession.
You will experience a blended learning model.
You will gather learning evidence, journals and off-the-job records using your e-portfolio.
At the end of the planned learning period, it will be agreed that you are ready to enter 'Gateway' and for your End Point Assessment to be arranged.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Upon completion of this apprenticeship programme, further career opportunities may be opened up to you which could include further training at higher levels, to support you within your chosen pathway.
