What will the apprentice be doing?

To uphold a high standard of quality to all work undertaken.
General gardening duties and using garden machinery
Keep sites tidy and safe for use
Maintain a positive attitude at all times with site residents, clients and visitors
Grass cutting and hedge Cutting
Leaf clearing
Flower bed tidying, weeding and edging
Planting of trees, shrubs and borders
General labouring
Using a cement mixer and other landscaping tasks

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Horticulture and Landscape Operative Level 2 Apprenticeship

Emergency first aid: HABC Level 3 Award Emergency First Aid at Work.

Pesticides: Level 2 Principles of Safe Handling and Application of Pesticides (PA1) (Non-regulated)

English and maths: Apprentices without level 2 English and maths must achieve level 1 and take the test for level 2 before taking the end-point assessment.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

May lead to permanent employment for the right candidate on completion of the apprenticeship.
