What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Complete training courses and work linked to apprenticeship.
  • With guidance deal with specific and general enquiries about the English Hub and Teaching School. To handle with telephone enquiries from members of the public in a polite and professional manner and pass on communication promptly.
  • To support in maintaining a financial management system. With guidance, process income and invoicing pertaining to English Hub, keeping accurate records.
  • To participate in appropriate training.
  • To support with meetings, inside and outside of the school, where and when directed.  Treating all matters as confidential. 
  • To ensure that the priorities and deadlines made by the English Hub are implemented effectively. Working within a tight deadline on various aspects of the role, from managing room bookings to sending out e-mails, collating data, coordinating training and schedule information.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • Advanced Apprenticeship - Level 3 standard
  • Monthly workshops delivered online or in a classroom and they enhance the Knowledge side of the apprenticeship
  • 1:1 support from an assessor from the training provider
  • Mentorship from in-house managers and leaders.
  • Once the apprenticeship is completed you will earn a Level 3 standard apprenticeship qualification
  • The assessment plan that accompanies the Business Administrator standard contains a combination of assessment methods designed to test the apprentice’s knowledge, skills and behaviours (KSBs) in line with the requirements for synoptic testing under the apprenticeship reforms

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Initially this role is for the duration of the apprenticeship only. Successful completion and outstanding performance may see the role become permanent.
