What will the apprentice be doing?

  • To contribute to a high standard of physical, emotional and social and developmental care for children in the nursery
  • To contribute towards the developmental needs of the children are met through the provision of a planned early years’ curriculum in accordance with The Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage and Every Child Matters Guidelines
  • To work as part of the staff team to uphold the ethos and high standards of the nursery in accordance with all policies, procedures and practices
  • To welcome, with assistance, support and work in partnership with parents and carers
  • To be a good role model to children
  • To be aware of, and take responsibility for, all aspects of health, safety and security in relation to the children attending the nursery

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • Early Years Educator Level 3
  • Functional Skills in English and Maths (if required)
  • Paediatric First Aid
  • Remote Course Delivery with Allocated 1-2-1 Trainer
