What will the apprentice be doing?

Management Accounts

  • Support weekly activities including prepayments, accruals and general reconciliations
  • Assist with the preparation of weekly management accounts, including posting journals as required

 

Operations

  • Support stock counts
  • Review materials usage and price variance

 

Transactions

  • Process supplier invoices
  • Reconciling supplier statements
  • Assist with credit control

 

Data & Systems

  • Reviewing product costings
  • Assisting process improvement and documentation

 

Treasury

  • Process company credit card and expenses
  • Assisting payment queries
     

 

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • Attending weekly classes at McArthur Dean Training for the duration of the Apprenticeship 
  • Working towards Functional Skills Maths and English if required
  • Achieving Accounts/Finance Assistant Level 2

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
