What will the apprentice be doing?

Job Responsibilities Administration:

To provide support to the administration team / Practice Manager including tasks such as:


Working with our Care Co-ordinator to manage the on the day demand
Contacting patients with long term conditions to book appointments
Managing the practice waiting lists
Appointment and clinic changes
Cover reception for sickness cover
To complete all associated administration in an accurate and timely manner
To provide outstanding customer care always, both internally and externally
To have a thorough knowledge of all Practice procedures.
To work in accordance with written protocols

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Business Administration (Functional Skills if needed)

Full training will be given by the employer, with the support of the training provider.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Having gained a year’s worth of work experience and a qualification as a Customer Service Practitioner, you would be able to work as a Receptionist in the Primary Care sector or in another similar setting.
